These Content Guidelines explain what’s allowed and not allowed on Group.app. They apply to everyone who uses the platform — Creators, Community Admins, and Members alike. They’re part of our Terms of Service: by using Group.app, you agree to follow them, and if anything here conflicts with the Terms, the Terms control.

The Basics

  • Be honest. Don’t impersonate someone else, misrepresent who you are, or mislead people about what you’re offering.
  • Respect other people. No harassment, threats, or targeted abuse.
  • Follow the law. Content and activity that’s illegal where you or your audience are located isn’t allowed here, even if it’s legal elsewhere.
  • Respect privacy. Don’t share someone else’s personal information without their permission.

Not Allowed, Ever

Some things are never allowed on Group.app, regardless of context, and will typically result in immediate account action:

  • Content that sexually exploits, endangers, or victimizes minors, in any form. We have zero tolerance for this and will report it to the relevant authorities.
  • Credible threats of violence, or content that incites or promotes violence, terrorism, or self-harm.
  • Sexually explicit or pornographic content.
  • Content or activity that facilitates fraud, scams, or illegal transactions.
  • Malware, phishing links, or anything designed to compromise someone’s device or account.

Also Not Allowed

  • Hate and harassment. Content that attacks, demeans, or incites hatred against people based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar characteristics. Repeated unwanted contact, doxxing, or coordinated pile-ons.
  • Intellectual property infringement. Posting or selling content you don’t have the rights to — including pirated courses, plagiarized material, or someone else’s copyrighted work without permission.
  • Spam and manipulation. Unsolicited bulk messages, fake engagement, deceptive links, or automated tools used to scrape, data-mine, or manipulate the platform.
  • Regulated or dangerous goods. Promotion or sale of firearms, illegal drugs, or unlicensed financial products (e.g., unregistered securities, binary options, or forex signal schemes) is not allowed.
  • Gambling. Unlicensed gambling, betting, or games of chance for money.

Selling on Group.app: Be Straight With Your Members

Group.app is built on paid memberships, courses, and communities, so trust matters more here than almost anywhere else online. If you’re a Creator:

  • Describe what you’re actually offering — content, access, format, and what happens after purchase — accurately.
  • Don’t fabricate urgency or scarcity (fake countdown timers, “only 2 spots left” when that isn’t true).
  • Don’t post fake reviews or testimonials, or pay for fake engagement.
  • Honor the refund and cancellation terms you’ve set for your own community, as described in our Terms.

Income and Earnings Claims

If your content discusses income, revenue, or financial results — yours or your members’ — you’re responsible for making sure it’s truthful and not misleading:

  • Don’t guarantee a specific income, return, or financial outcome from your course, coaching, or community.
  • If you share income examples (yours or a member’s), they need to be real, and you should make clear they aren’t typical or guaranteed for everyone who joins.
  • Avoid “get rich quick,” “guaranteed passive income,” or similarly absolute framing.
  • You’re responsible for complying with applicable advertising and consumer protection law in your own content and claims — Group.app doesn’t review or pre-approve your marketing.

Health, Medical, and Wellness Content

Coaching around fitness, nutrition, mental health, and wellness is welcome on Group.app, but it comes with real responsibility:

  • Don’t claim to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease or medical condition unless you are a licensed professional operating within the scope of your license.
  • Include a clear disclaimer that your content is not a substitute for professional medical, mental health, or psychiatric advice.
  • Don’t promote dangerous, unproven, or extreme health practices (e.g., unsafe fasting protocols, unregulated substances, or practices that could cause physical harm).

Guaranteed Results

Individual results vary, and your marketing and course content should reflect that honestly:

  • Don’t promise a guaranteed outcome — weight loss, relationship results, business growth, income, or otherwise — as a condition of joining.
  • Use realistic language about what a typical member should expect, and avoid absolute claims like “guaranteed” or “100% results.”

Inside Your Community

  • Creators may set additional rules for their own community (on top of these Guidelines) — Members should follow them.
  • Don’t redistribute or share paid content outside the community it was purchased in.
  • Treat other Members the way you’d want to be treated — harassment or abuse of other Members is not allowed, even in private groups.

What Happens If You Break These Guidelines

Depending on the severity and whether it’s a first-time or repeat issue, we may remove specific content, issue a warning, restrict features, or suspend or terminate an account — consistent with the Account Suspension & Termination terms in our Terms of Service. Content that endangers minors or involves illegal activity will typically result in immediate account action and may be reported to law enforcement.

Reporting a Concern

If you believe a Creator or Member has violated these Guidelines — through fraud, illegal content, harassment, or a misleading claim like the ones described above — report it to us at [email protected] or through any in-product reporting feature we make available. This is for policy and legal violations, not for product quality, satisfaction, or refund disputes, which are between you and the Creator, as described in our Terms of Service.

How This Fits With Our Other Policies

These Guidelines are incorporated into, and form part of, our Terms of Service. They work alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal information. If you have questions about any of this, contact us at [email protected].
